Wingback Tufted Headboard Bed in Velvet by Skyline Furniture

I really love the look of these tufted wingback headboards and I feel like they create the perfect blend of stately elegance and warm comfort for the bedroom.

If you're looking for a style like this, I found a great option that comes upholstered in a lush tufted velvet from Skyline Furniture (Waveland and Brompton Styles) that comes in all sizes from Twin, to California King and in four beautiful colors (White, Pewter, Chocolate and Honey).

The links I've placed above are actually for the full bed frame, not just the headboard, so you really get the overall look which pulls it all together. The whole bed is hand crafted in the USA in a sturdy, solid pine wood frame and although there is some simple assembly required, I've read good reviews on how easy the assembly actually is for their products, which is always nice to hear.


The color options for this Skyline Bed are pretty basic, but do offer a lot of versatility. The first photos posted above with the white headboard and bright blue walls really show how you can make this piece pop, and gives an idea on how you can make this bed work to fit your own personal style.

Both of these pieces are designs by Robin Bruce, and both come in a huge range of color and fabric styles which makes them the perfect option for a custom fit to your own home decor.

I personally love that you can really create your own statement by which fabric and color you choose. With the sofa, for example, the design and shape is incredibly inviting and elegant and has both modern and classic elements within it - either of which could be played up or down with your upholstery choice.
If you're going for a more modern feel, you could go with something like a Blue-Grey Linen or a Khaki Twill. Leaning more towards classic and traditional? Create a more elegant and luxe look with something like a rich Beige Velvet.

Not to be upstaged, the Greenwich Chair (pictured below) also comes in a variety of color and fabric combinations - a whopping 17 different styles! Although it does come in some solid colors with fabrics like velvet, what's really great about this chair is that it's also available in some really awesome prints.

"I bought the Greenwich chair and sofa and chose grey velvet as the fabric for both. They look beautiful, very elegant and head-turning. They are both on the firm side, however, comfort-wise, which helps them to hold their lovely shape, but if you were thinking of using these for cozy curling-up places, they would not be the best choice for this."

Whenever I think of chaise lounges, I always think luxury - and this classic velvet version by Avenue Six is definitely no exception. I love the rolled back, which adds a bit of glamour, and the lovely detail on the solid kiln dried hardwood legs just gives it a little extra something.. sturdy yet stylish.

This Mies Van Der Rohe Sevilla Daybed replica features sturdy straps of thick genuine leather fixed to an exposed eco-friendly Havea Brasiliensis hardwood frame. The button tufted and piped cushions are upholstered in beautiful Italian leather which comes in Black, Ivory or Chocolate.

Since doing some research on Mies Van Der Rohe I've been seeing these designs everywhere, and in some really incredible homes. When doing my usual scouring of the internet for new and beautiful tufted furniture, I came across this amazing 'Gweneth' Velvet Ottoman by Enigma that stopped me dead in my tracks. I love how soft and plush it looks, and I want it in my living room like yesterday!

 Storage space seems to be one of those things that we can never get enough of, especially in a house with multiple people or children. We'd all like to be able to keep the clutter away and out of sight, yet store it in an easily accessible place - all while keeping our own personal tastes in mind and not compromising on style.

As a coffee table or footrest, this piece would be a great and versatile addition to any living or family room but it could also be used in other parts of the home or office. I could see this piece in an entryway or foyer with storage inside for extra shoes, and even in the bedroom at the foot of the bed being used for linens or blankets.

This ottoman would also be a perfectly stylish option for storing kids toys away in a quick pick up sweep, and it's especially great for toddlers because of it's soft exterior and cushion top. I can only imagine how many bumps and bruises could be prevented by having one of these instead of a hard wooden coffee table. I can't say for sure that this is absolutely a child proof coffee table (I'm no expert on child proofing!) but it certainly doesn't have those sharp edges and corners that you probably want to stay away from.
